The Owl is symbolic of the Cailleach, The Wise Woman, the Hag, the Queen of Winter in Scottish folklore. Beneath Her Winter Veil is a celebration of the Cailleach coming into power as the seasons turn. This piece was created using Cyantoype, lino printing and natural dyes on vintage linens and silks.
